Account Configuration Wizard for Google Voice
Set-Up Directions:
Please be advised this wizard should not be used in conjunction with OBiTALK portal device management.
1. Physical Connections:
a) Your OBi device should be in the same IP data network as your computer.
b) The OBi should have an analog phone plugged into the PHONE port.
2. Fill In the Form Below & Press Configure:
a) Get your OBi unit IP address: Dial *** and "1" from the phone connected to the OBi.
b) If you are prompted to enter your username and password, enter 'admin' into both fields.
3. Set-Up Your Gmail Account to Make and (optionally) Receive Calls:
a) To make outgoing calls: Sign-in to your Gmail account and make a call from your PC to any phone number using the Gmail “Call Phones” feature.  If you have already done this before, you can skip this.
b)   To receive incoming calls: This step requires you have previously set up a Google Voice phone number.
- Sign-in to Google Voice
- Select the "Settings" link in the upper left corner of the window and then choose "Voice Settings."
- Select the "Phones" tab and check the box next to the "Forwards to: Google Chat."
- The selection will automatically be saved and you can now sign out of Google Voice.

To use the Google Voice communications service on your OBi, you must have made at least one call from your Gmail account's "Call Phone" feature. To do this, sign-in to Gmail and place a call from your computer's browser with the Gmail "Call Phone" function located on the lower left side of the Gmail window. If this is the first time the Google Voice communications service is used from this Gmail account, Google will alert you to the following: "Google Voice is an enhanced call management application and that Google Voice is not capable of placing or receiving emergency service calls." Important: By pressing Configure on this configuration utility, you acknowledge that the OBi device with which you will use the Google Voice communications service does not support emergency service calls.

DO NOT USE THE OBi DEVICE FOR EMERGENCY SERVICE CALLS.

Note about your Gmail username and password: This configuration utility is for easy placement your Gmail username and password information into the OBi device on a trusted network. Your Gmail password is not stored by Obihai or OBiTALK servers. Your Gmail username and password are used only by your OBi device to communicate with Google servers. Communication between the OBi device and Google servers is secured using HTTPS.

Note: This configuration wizard overwrites any existing SP1 settings. If you have already configured a SIP account for your OBi, this configuration will overwrite your existing settings.
